• 2 Organic Medjool Dates, deseeded and chopped

• Low Sodium Ezekiel Bread, toasted

• Unsalted, Crunchy, Dry Roasted Almond Butter

This makes a perfect snack to eat before a workout because it will give you tons of energy naturally!

PRIORITIZING YOUR HEALTH

Investing in your health is something I highly recommend doing. The younger you begin to get involved in physical activities the more likely it will be that you will continue to partake in them throughout your life. Finding activities that you enjoy, and can fit into your lifestyle easily are key to ensure a long-lasting relationship with fitness.

I love keeping busy, and staying active, and am the type of person to usually have multiple projects going at once. So you can see why finding time to work out can be difficult. However, I do and if I can then anyone can! I am a full time student, I work part time, I live on my own so that entails all the maintenance of taking care of my living environment, but also all of the chores that involve keeping groceries, and other necessities stocked so I can take care of myself. Not only do I do a great job with taking care of myself, I take care of my pooch Grayson. So that also takes time out of my everyday to walk, feed, play and love him. I keep up with all of my school work, and what ever other demands my projects entail. Workouts that that don’t require a lot of time, but still are super effect are exactly what I need and what I lean on to keep myself organized and sticking to busy schedules. During the week you will find me participating in;

Spin Classes

Barre Conditioning

Total Body Conditioning

Crossfit

Weight Resistance Training

Indoor  Sports (P.E)

During the weekend I will try and fit any of the above into my schedule, but if the opportunity arises I will 100% swap my indoor workouts for an outdoor one.

Cycling

Outdoor Sports (P.E)

Diversity could be the very thing you are lacking in your routine if you find yourself frequently having to start over, or repeatedly falling off of the band wagon. Incorporating many different kinds of ways to get physical activity into your life will save you from boredom, and advance your motor skills in many areas!

Stick to a clean diet, and be forgiving towards yourself. Nobody is perfect and can eat  perfectly all of the time. Allow yourself to live, and never deprive yourself. Your mental health is just as important as your physical health, and at the end of the day you are the only one who can make yourself a priority. Love yourself, and your body will love you back! ♥

Summer is right around the corner and I thought I would share with you guys some of my essentials that I’m looking forward to utilizing this summer!

MEDITERRANEAN MOTIVES

Hey guys, I wanted to devote this blog post to items I’ve been gathering for my upcoming trip to Greece, Madrid, and Ibiza. With it coming up so soon I thought it was finally time to share how I will be prepping for my vacay with some of my favorite gal pals!

First things first, I have already started shopping and collecting a few items that I feel will be perfect for the weather over there in the hot June/July months. Flowy/airy light weight tops, destroyed denims for optimal air flow, and keeping everything on the neutral color scheme will be a sure way to stay cool in that Mediterranean sunshine.

Next, I am making sure to bring my balibody tanning oils to make sure I am opting in for the best tan possible for the two weeks I am away.

Lastly, I will be up-ing my work out routine followed by a stricter dietary regimen. Going to such beautiful places, there will be tons of photos taken, and feeling good about yourself in your bathing suits, clothing, and just in general is a must when going on a trip with your girlfriends!

×INGREDIENTS×

Patron Silver

Grapefruit Soda or Grapefruit Juice (I used fresh grapefruit juice)

Club Soda

1 Lime

1 Lemon

Sugar or like substitute ( I used Truvia)

Optional: Tajin Seasoning

×DIRECTIONS×

Coat the rim of your glasses with a bit of water, or honey, or agave, and spin in sugar plate.

Grab your shaker, and fill it with ice.

Pour 2 ounces of Patron Silver

Pour 1-1.5 ounces of Grapefruit Juice or Soda.

Pour 1-1.5 ounces of Club Soda.

Fresh squeezed lime

Fresh squeezed lemon.

(WARNING) Shake shaker with firm handle on cover, the fizz from the club soda can cause the top to pop off.

Add ice to your glasses, and pour over ice.

Garnish with some orange, lemon, or lime.

OPTIONAL: Can sprinkle layer of Tajin seasoning over top to add a kick if you like your tequila on the spicier side.

MY FITNESS LIFESTYLE

A lot of people ask me how I have managed to lose weight, and what my secret is for getting fit or building muscle so here it is!

What do I eat?

I pretty much am extremely health conscious when it comes to what I put into my body. I tend to eat vegan meals high in natural products without dairy, because I find that dairy isn’t really the best for the human digestive system especially when it comes to dealing with weight loss. No, I am not a vegan, although over the years my meat intake has sufficiently decreased, but I find myself gearing towards other things to get my protein intake more so than poultry. Key thing here is I stay away from dairy, and buy vegan cheese such a daiya, and drink almond milk.

What do my workouts consist of?

I love HIIT workouts that are quick and get the job done sufficiently within 45 minutes to an hour. I find myself doing a lot of classes as of late such as Spin, Barre, Total Body Condition, and Pilates. I’ve actually done spin for quite a long time now and it is my number 1 go-to class to burn calories, and build up muscle. I never leave completely drenched in sweat, or regret doing it!

Frequency?

I try to go to the gym about 3-4 days a week and sometimes that doesn’t always happen. I am fortunate enough to have equipment at home that I use whenever I feel like getting in the car is just too much some days.

Diet vs Exercise?

I find that what will give you the most results with your fitness journey is sticking to a healthy diet, along with a healthy lifestyle. What your diet consists of will directly impact your results if you are/aren’t eating correctly.

70%- Diet

30%- Exercise

Key Tip: Going on restrictive diets are not the best idea for long-term results, trust me I am the Queen of them. For the past year, I have switched my mentality around, and just make healthy choices. I never deprive myself of a craving, I simply just make a healthy version of whatever I am in the mood for, and I never regret it. I drink a ton of water to avoid the confusion of hunger and thirst, and have become aware of when I don’t need to eat any more rather than ver indulging and reaching the point of maximal fullness. It really is necessary. If you become hungry again later, drink some water or grab a small handful of something healthy. There is nothing wrong with eating hungry is what you really are. Don’t confuse hunger for another underlying emotion with something internally. Keeping a positive attitude with life and yourself will help you get you where you want to be. change your mind, and your body will follow! ❤
